Design and manufacture an electric propelled wakeboard allowing the user to perform acrobatic maneuvers

Actually, wakeboard is a sport that requires a boat. On top of being hardly accessible because of the costs associated with these boats, they are polluting and limit the user in his movements.  Therefore, to get rid of these constraints, WakeUS team’s goal is to design and manufacture an electric self-propelled wakeboard allowing the user to perform acrobatic maneuvers.

 

More precisely, the team want to do a prototype combining a lot of power, a low weight and a similar size to a standard wakeboard to reach their goal. This will be the first prototype of a self-propelled board joining thrills, green sustainable? energy and a complete freedom of movement. Concretely, to achieve this, the prototype is equipped with two electric engine powered by two lithium-polymer battery packs. This system, controlled by wireless remote, generate a maximum power of 16 kW. Moreover, the carbon fiber shell the team to achieve the maximum total weight referred, which is only 20 kg.

 

Overall, the team is motivated by the vision of an autonomous wakeboarding while providing thrill to the seekers devotee? looking for the opportunity to perform acrobatic maneuvers without constraints.
